The City of Thunder Bay is seeking the services of a multi-disciplinary team with expertise in urban design, architecture, landscape architecture, transportation engineering, municipal design, and communications to evaluate options for public realm improvements along a portion of Red River Road and produce a Streetscape Plan for the surrounding Waterfront District. The consulting team must have expertise in the planning and design of urban environments and the public realm.  They must also be able to make design recommendations on changes to right-of-way functions and assess impacts to traffic (vehicle, transit, bicycle and pedestrian) and to underground infrastructure, utilities, drainage, and maintenance.  Considerations of constructability and construction impacts to businesses must be part of the concept design methodology from the beginning.
