The City of Thunder Bay is seeking a geotechnical and environmental consultant to provide borehole information, location recommendations, environmental testing, screening and interpretation of results related to excess soil requirements for Capital Budget projects and other works including road reconstruction, resurfacing, sidewalk replacements, storm sewer, sanitary sewer and watermain at various locations. \

Mandatory Requirements

It is mandatory that bidders demonstrate the staff person designated as a Qualified Person is in accordance with the Excess Soil Regulation (O Reg 406/19) and Record of Site Condition Regulation (O Reg 153/04).  This person must have prior experience conducting and/or supervising environmental site assessments and/or contaminated site remediation along with a minimum of 5 years experience completing these reports.  

In the Bidding System under Step 2-Specifications “Qualified Person(s) Experience as per and Qualifications – Bidders must provide a list of three (3) contracts in the past 5 years, highlighting your Qualified Persons qualifications and experience. Include: Qualified Person (QP) Name, QP Designation, Three Projects completed by QP identified, Project name, Project description, date completed, Project name and Contact information. The onus is on the bidder to provide enough detail in their response to show that the required experience and qualifications meet the above requirements within the past five (5) years.
